Uzair is Director of Design & Innovation at mobileLIVE, a Canadian enterprise software solutions company that works with all Canadian Telcos and has a significant portfolio in mobility solutions and experiences. In 2019, mobileLIVE has invested significant effort in understanding 5G technologies and their impact on future experiences.
Uzair has 10 years of experience in Product, UX and Systems Design across different sectors including commercial technology products, startups, and the development sector. Uzair brings nearly a decade of cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural experience in local as well as North American context. He is a graduate of Cornell University, USA, NUST-EME, Pakistan, and the Founder Institute.
He is passionate about the use of technology for improving the lives of people and solving complex global challenges in energy, financial inclusion, healthcare, and agriculture sectors. Uzair works with key stakeholders to devise innovation strategies for business leaders, nonprofits and startups based on in-depth user research, business goals and best possible technology options. Uzair has worked as a consultant to evaluate Government technology projects including Biometric Cash withdrawal system of Benazir Income Support Program and Empowerment of Kisaan through Digital & Financial Inclusion (CAPP and e-Credit, Punjab).
Uzair has served as a board member for technology startups, non-profit organizations, and is the curator of the NUST Alumni Entrepreneurship Network. He also plays an active role in supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem by mentoring startups at FICS – NUST, GSEA Pakistan and National Incubation Center.
