I am Aqsa Ajmal, an industrial design graduate from NUST Islamabad. I have been selected as one of the six finalists for LexusDesignAward from all over the world – the first and only Pakistani so far. My project is focused to empower the visually impaired citizens of Pakistan by incorporating sewing skills for income-generation. More to that, my aim is to bring Industrial design in Pakistan on the map.
I breathe, eat and live design. For me, it’s all about using design as a problem-solving tool, a way of devising relationships between ideas and reality. Through my tangible interaction and experimental design, all I aim is to improve the connections between people and products.
